Why Hot Melt Glue Won't Stick to Your Box Wrap

Weak hot melt bonds usually come from glue that is too cool to wet the surface, too little glue, poor pressing, a hard-to-bond surface (film-laminated or UV-coated paper), or a cold substrate that sets the glue too early. Fix temperature, glue amount and pressing first, then check whether the adhesive suits the material. [1][2][3]

Quick test (from LD Davis, for wraps): pull a glued turn-in apart; paper fiber tearing means good adhesion, a clean peel means a glue or pressing issue. [4]

How this relates to Zhishang machines: Our hot-glue and cold-glue dispensing machines apply glue automatically along a set path. The brochure states one in-line machine "saves two people's gluing work." Adhesive choice and pressing still need to be matched to your materials.

Related machines

Zhishang machines dispense glue along a programmed path, with a 3-10MM glue width and 0.6MPa working air pressure (product brochure). Specifications are for reference only; final specifications are subject to our quotation.
